Conversations

We talk to people everyday. Talk, talk, talk, all day long. Some people are excessive talkers, they never seem to shut up. Others are listeners, you have to pay attention or you might miss what they have to say. But between all this talking and listening is anything ever said. I think not often
Mostly it is a lot of noise to fill out days and time. But once in a while in just a few sentences you can learn a world of information from someone. If you are paying attention.

That is a second issue, paying attention. So many of us are sounding board bouncing back as much noise as we hear, do we listen to what is being said? What really happened in that last conversation?
Those little important facts are there, find them, they may be the ones you need. The ones that will get you through the next day or week or lifetime.

Remember we have two ears and one mouth. We should listen twice as often as we talk.

Morning From Hell

Some days are better than others. Then there are mornings like today where you just want to go back to bed and try to start it over.

5:30am Dh wakes me to tell me the little one threw up in her bed. Great way to start the morning

6:30am Little one comes back in, she is poopy. We are talking Toxic smell could evacuate a building poopy. No Snowday or Delay for us, had to wake the other kids.

7:00am Older kids trying to get ready, little one throwing up in bowl. Cat suddenly makes furball noises and throws up all over blanket, animal bed and floor. I was hoping for that to add to my morning.

7:20am Oldest falls down stairs on back, knocks wind out of herself, I am with little one who is throwing up again. Dad gets out of shower and helps oldest.

7:25am Oldest can't find winter boots, must be in locker. Middle can't find favorite hat and gloves, momma finds them in living room. Also found sneakers in play area that need to go in backpack.

7:39am Bus arrives, takes away two children, finally. Momma waves goodbye in relief.

Real Age WOW MOM!!!! Not wow in a bad way.

I have a Google homepage, and for those of you who don't have one Basically you have an empty page and you download a bunch of widget like things to fill it up. You can also have rss feeds on it. It can have mail and quotes of the day, pictures, games, all kinds of crazy shit. One of my widgets is called real age. It does exactly what is says, it calculates your real age. Today mine is 36.682, the other day my oldest DD saw it.

Her: "Real Age, WOW!"
Me: "wow?"
Her: "Well, not wow in a bad way."
Me: "Oh, okay, sure."

Now anyone that believes "Not wow in a bad way" Come see me about a bridge.

New Blogger, Let's see how different it is.

Well, I just upgraded Blogger so let's see how it goes.  It doesn't seem to like to keep the old with the new, but I am going to try to if I can.

I am feeling up and down.  Somedays better than others.  Today my arm is giving me a great problem and I don't know why.  I might have strained it lifting wood or maybe it is just having a bad day, who knows.  I sure don't lately.  I want out the other day and ended up on the couch for 3 days with a headache and I was wearing a heavy winter hat and only went grocery shopping.  I hate this weather and this body lately.

Hermit Pays the Price for leaving her Hollow

So, I did go out yesterday, just for some grocery shopping and I am
paying for it today. I have been feeling too unwell to go to
Christian Formation or much of anything else. I have an awful
headache and am really dizzy. I hate the dizzy thing, it is so
disturbing. I managed to shower and stick sweats on my body, but that
was a HUGE task. I am too nauseous to eat or sleep. I just sit on my
couch.

I am telling you, Not leaving again until June. That's it JUNE!! It
is so cold out today and only getting colder. The kids are going to
school tomorrow and then I think I am climbing IN the wood stove. Rob
can knock when he gets home.

The Hermit Left her Hollow for Real Today and..

She don't like it out there!!! It's snowing and blowing and cold
and just plain bleck!!!
I think I am staying in until June. It's going to get colder again
starting tomorrow, single digits during the day and below zero at
night. This body is no longer meant for this weather.

I was talking to my mom today, she went to a memorial for a family
member. She said she is very worried about me. My mom was talking to
her aunt (it was her son that passed) and her aunt said a child
should never die before a parent. My mom said she could only think of
me and last spring when I had my first real attack from this disease,
she was afraid I was never going to make it back from it. Then I just
recently had another much less one, that I am still recovering from.
Which is why I have been such a Hermit. The cold makes me so much
worse. I prefer to stay home on my couch by the wood stove and play
on my laptop and be happy.

Blogging will continue to be light

Blogging will continue to be light for a while. I seem to have come
out of remission for my diseases and I am in a lot of pain and have a
lot of fatigue. Typing is quite a chore, so I am not going to be
doing an awful lot of it. I do hope to be calling my Rheumy on
Monday and seeing what can be done. I hope to be feeling better soon
and blogging more again.

OMG! Quick Somebody Hide Me!!

All I wanted to do was take a shower and get dressed. Seemed simple
enough. Except for one complication: Without Little Lifesucking
Creatures joining me. That part was just too much to ask for.

As soon as the shower shut off, the pounding at the door began.
Ignoring doesn't help, they are smart boogers, they know you're still
in there. Answering through the door isn't any good either, they want
that door open. Then you finally open it and they really didn't want
anything anyway.

With just one it's pretty easy to bribe but, you hit two and it's
like an army, you can't fight them off. Then while I'm getting dressed
I'm also supposed to be DJ and find all their favorite songs on my
laptop. Just what I was hoping to do while trying to get dressed.

Okay, i got them to leave for a few minutes. Maybe I can get through
drying my hair and makeup without so much help or having to duct tape
any children to the mail box :)

He is going to school tomorrow, I don't care if he coughs up a lung,
he can carry it with him.

They Went Wii, Wii, Wii All The Way Home

Yes, we finally got our Wii last night. We were in Potsdam, Rob came
into the store to look for me, he call Maseena at the same time they
had 1 left and would hold it for 30 minutes for us. So we went right
out there to get it. The kids were just bouncing. They stayed up a
bit while Rob got it together, but weren't able to play much before
bed. Tabitha played a little before school. She liked surfing the
web on it. Carter will come home first on the bus and play then. We
also purchased Zelda with it. So now we have the Sports game it
comes with Zelda and Call of Duty 3, that Carter received for
Christmas and was finally able to open last night. He has been
looking at that case everyday waiting and waiting to open it as soon
as he could. So, this morning as the bus was pulling up I was given
strict instructions. "Mom, Don't play the Wii while we are gone at
school!" "Yes, Children. I'll try to find something else to do."

One Last Merry Christmas

On Sunday we went to Russell to have one last Merry Christmas. Rob's
Father and family live there. The children were all excited to still
be able to open Christmas presents so far after Christmas. We had a
lovely Turkey dinner with all the fixins. It was yummy. And
Chocolate pudding with strawberry sauce for desert. The kids were
all very happy with their presents as were Rob and I. We get to go
shopping. Just in time for me as I am losing weight and in need of
new clothing.

Tweens can Smell out a Cell phone Anywhere

Tabitha had basketball practice today, I let her borrow my cell phone
incase she got out early. I was the only one home with the other 2
kids so I didn't want to have to stay with her and didn't want her to
have to sit and wait for me.
I guess in the locker room while changing, as soon as she opened her
locker the scent of the cell phone got out. Every girl in the locker
room was at her locker drooling over her pink cell phone. Tabitha
needed two girls to guard her to get her dressed and out with her
cell phone intact. Something about phones and tweens. Especially
cell phones, and my pink one which makes it even more irresistible.

Chloe's First Day of DayCare

Chloe did so well at DayCare. Drop off was better than Daddy wanted
it to be. She settled in well and played with others. They said she
had a great day for a first day. We are so happy. But like I said
she is the most independent of my 3 and I am not surprised she did so
well. Even when Dad picked her up, she said hi and was happy to see
him, but didn't run right over to go with him. She just kept on
playing.

I also had a nice day alone in the house for a change. I think I
will be able to get a lot accomplished with Chloe gone for 2 days a
week. And hopefully they will encourage her to use the potty much
more than we can.

Look Out DayCare, Here Comes Chloe!!

Chloe starts DayCare tomorrow, just 2 days a week. Giving me time to myself, to pay bills, find the house mid week, and just have me time. Also, giving Chloe some her time with other children and adults. Getting her ready for Pre-K next fall. She is very attached to me and needs to find some space of her own. I know she will grow to love it, as in her own way she is my most independent child. She is just so use to momma always being around. Also, maybe someone else can teach her some manner and I hope the words weinie butt and stupid head are not heard from her, at least not too soon.

New Year

For New Year's we always stay home. The kids wanted to stay up. But it was Rob and I who end up staying up. I took a nap earlier in the night, Carter fell asleep after 10, Tabitha fell asleep after that. We put Chloe to bed at 9:30 hoping she would sleep in. Just before midnight we woke up Tabitha and tried to wake Carter with no luck. So, the three of us watched the ball drop and drank our apple-grape sparkling juice.

Next morning Carter comes in crying. "You didn't wake me up, I missed the ball dropping" We told him we tried. He even sat up twice, but couldn't stay awake. He is such a deep sleeper. Soon after Chloe was up, the dogs wanted out and so our day started. Of course, earlier than we really wanted it to.

Happy New Year to everyone!
